Accredited Energy Assessors who are also professionally qualified surveyors are understandably in the greatest demand to provide commercial Energy Performance Certificates.
Easton Bevins Chris Easton explained: “The very nature of the information required to properly assess a building for an EPC makes chartered building surveyors most ideally placed to carry out the work.
“The assessor will need to understand the internal layout of the building and the purpose for which the space is to be used in order to understand the energy demands. They will need to know the size of the spaces and therefore a measured survey will probably be required.
“Together with what lighting; heating and ventilation systems are used, the assessor will also need to identify the construction of the fabric of the building and the thermal performance of each element, which is the walls, floor and roof.
“This is why Chartered Building Surveyors are most suited to providing the service required. They have extensive knowledge of all types of buildings and are able to quickly and efficiently identify different types of construction and elements to enable the correct calculations to be completed.
"This website has been designed to answer the many questions that landlords and business owners will have over the statutory requirements of Energy Performance Certificates and Display Energy Certificates and Advisory Reports and explain why you should choose Easton Bevins."
